Tools of the Trade

At New Wave Tattoo we pride ourselves on our unbeatable levels of hygiene.  Come and check us out.

Tools of the Trade

Safety - A big issue with effective solutions.

All needles are single-use, new clip cord covers as well as disposable tattoo machine bags are used for every customer. The tattoo machines are cleaned each time with alcohol wipes and put into a U.V steriliser at the end of every day.

All grips and tubes are disassembled after use and put into an ultrasonic cleaner before being transferred into the sterilisation room, where they are put through another ultrasonic cleaner with an ultra wave system, after which they are manually cleaned and then placed into autoclavable pouches with a tape indicator that changes colour once sterile. (The Bowie Dick test)

After sterilisation in an autoclave they are stored in airtight containers ready for use.
Sterilisation indicators are placed inside both autoclaves fortnightly to ensure they are functioning at 100%.

All working surfaces at New Wave Tattoo are protected using bags and plastic film during tattoos.

Inks

We use a range of the best tattoo pigment available at present.

When someone invents something better, then we will use that  :-)

Our inks include Starbrite, Kuro Sumi, Kokkai Sumi, Classic, Millenium and Skin Candy (as seen on Miami Ink) to ensure the best possible, cleanest, longest lasting colours for your tattoo.

Tattooing is about personalising the body, making it a true home and fit temple for the spirit that dwells inside it.... Tattooing therefore, is a way of keeping the spiritual and material needs of my body in balance.
